Q - What time does Frightland close?

A – Our ticket booth closes at 9PM or 10PM depending on the nitght.  Click here for our calendar. The Haunted Hayride is the first attraction to close, with the remaining outdoors attractions following. We close the hayride line 30 minutes  after the ticket booth closes.  You MUST be in line for the hayride one half hour after the ticket booth closes. We recommend you go to the hayride immediately after leaving the ticket booth.  The houses begin closing 1 hour after the last hayride goes out.  Announcements are made for the closing of the hayride and the houses.  If you are not able to complete the haunted attractions, your unused portion of the ticket is valid for the season the ticket was sold.  Ride bracelets are only valid the night that they are purchased.

Q - What is the best time to arrive?

A – It is best to arrive as early as possible. Plan on spending at least 2 hours or more at Frightland. The closer it gets to Halloween, the longer the lines will be. Get here early! If time is important, we recommend you purchase a VIP Fright Pass that will limit your wait time.

Q - What time does Frightland open?

A – Please refer to our “Hours of Operation” page for specifics. Generally, the attractions open at sundown.

Q - How does the VIP Frightpass work?

A – The VIP FrightPass will get you to the front of the line with limited waiting. This means you are given priority in entering the attractions. This does not mean that you completely “skip the line”. Guests with the VIP FrightPass are taken to the front of the line and worked in as the priority.

The VIP FrightPass is not valid for Amusement Rides. Additionally, Ravenwood Cemetery, Fear and Zombie Ghost Town are all completely separate attractions but do not have VIP lines due to the outdoor nature of these attractions. We will punch your ticket for these attractions at the Hayride and then ask that you secure them on your person so they do not get lost.

Q - Is there security at Frightland?

A – Yes. On most  nights, the Delaware State Police are on site and in uniform.  In addition, every evening Frightland has an outside security force that checks each person into the park and patrols the areas. Frightland has a ZERO tolerance rate for trouble makers. Trouble makers and their guests will be ejected from Frightland without a refund. We want everyone to have a safe and fun time! For this reason we do not allow backpacks, packages, coolers, purses, etc.

Q – Does it cost anything to park?

A – Yes. There is a $5 parking fee of which 100% goes directly to The Leukemia Research Foundation of Delaware.

Q - Are the attractions open if it rains?

A – Frightland is open rain or shine as long as we can safely operate. The outdoor attractions and amusement rides may be closed due to severe inclement weather. Attraction lines are tented but lightning and heavy rain may close all attractions. You may check our website or social media for the latest closure updates. There are no refunds if we close due to inclement weather but your tickets will be honored on any remaining night of the season. Closing due to bad weather will be at the discretion of the staff at Frightland.

Q - How long does it take to go through everything?

A – Plan on spending a full evening. Early in the season it could take up to 2 hours to experience all of the haunts.  On our busy nights, it could take up to 4 hours.  The closer to Halloween, the lines get longer and the wait times become longer. If time is important, we recommend you purchase a VIP Fright Pass that will limit your wait time.

Q – If we do not make it through all the attractions in one night, can we come back another night?

A – Yes, the unused portion of your ticket is valid any night we are open during that season. The ticket must be intact and not be defaced or torn. The ride bracelets are only valid on the night the ticket was purchased.

Q- Can we ride only the hayride?

A – Yes, however the ticket price will remain the same. If you are only interested in the hayride, just make the wagon rider aware. At the end of the hayride, remain on the wagon and you will be brought back up front. We offer a half ticket in which you can choose the outdoor attractions (including the hayride) or the indoor attractions.

Q - How do I get to Ravenwood Cemetery, Fear and Ghost Town?

A – Due to nature of our world famous haunted attractions being spread out across 350 acres, some attractions are too far away from the main midway to safely allow our guests to walk to. For this reason, we have designed Ravenwood Cemetery, Fear and Ghost Town to be accessible from the Horror Hayride. Once the Hayride attraction is finished, the wagon will drop you off at Ravenwood Cemetery. After finishing Ravenwood Cemetery, you will walk to Fear. Finally, once you are done Fear you will walk to Zombie Ghost Town which will lead you back to the main midway of Frightland.

Q - Do you offer group discounts?

A- Yes, online ticket sales only with 10 or more people. Group tickets must be purchased online.

Q - Do you take charge cards?

A – Yes, Frightland’s ticket booth and gift shop accept MasterCard or Visa cards. Please note, there are no refunds for any reason.

Q - Is there a dress code?

A – Frightland is a working farm. Do not wear your best clothes or heels to impress the ghouls… they like you just the way you are! There may be mud, water, loose stones, holes in the ground, uneven walkways and other related elements…  Sneakers or boots are the best footwear for the farm environment. If you get cold, you can purchase t-shirts or hoodies in The Little Shop of Horror gift shop. Be sure to dress appropriately for both the weather and the farm environment.

Q - Is Frightland scary?

A – Frightland is intended to be both scary and fun! We love to make you scream and have a good time. We DO NOT recommend Frightland for children under 14, which is the reason why there is no children’s ticket.

Q - Can I bring my kids?

A – We recommend that children be 14 years old or older, but this is ultimately up to you. It really depends upon each individual child as no one knows your child as you do. We have kids as young as 8 that are fine, and we have adults that can’t make it through. You as a parent must make the judgment call. If you are unsure, all children are welcome to our amusement midway. This is a safe zone – our ghouls are on short leashes and are not permitted to roam the amusement midway. That way the entire family can still come and enjoy Frightland. You can purchase ride bracelets for the younger children. We do not recommend bringing very young children or infants into Frightland.

Q - What is the children's price?

A – As we are a haunted attraction park, Frightland DOES NOT offer children’s tickets. We do not encourage children under 14 to visit the haunted attraction, but all children are welcome to our amusement midway. This is a safe zone – our ghouls are on short leashes and are not permitted to roam the midway. That way the entire family can still come and enjoy Frightland. Our ticket price is the same for everyone regardless of age; however you can purchase just a ride bracelet.

Q – Can I drop my teenagers off?

A – Frightland recommends that all kids have chaperones.  It is recommended for children 14 and older.  If you wish to drop your teenager off you may do so at the entrance gate.  Before you reach the parking donation site, make a left into the field closest to RT 13. Please be aware that we do not have security at the front gate and that they will have to walk with traffic to the security gates.  You do have the option of paying the parking fee and dropping them off closer to the security gates.  After dropping them off, you will able to proceed to leave Frightland.  Not including wait time, it takes up to 2 hours to complete all 8 haunted attractions.  We do not have a set closing time.

Q - Is there food available?

A – There are multiple concession stands throughout the amusement midway area where you can purchase anything from drinks, to meals, sides and snacks. Outside food or drinks are not permitted.

BAGS OF ANY KIND (Only clear plastic bags permitted, all items are visible – subject to search).
